Just moved to K-zoo. Your station is amazing. It’s the perfect ecclectic mix to get me through my day. Excellent job in programming and the DJs just play the tunes without too much yak, which is awesome. Kudos! Bravo! Keep up the good work.

    Hey Y’all,
I recently moved to Iceland from Kalamazoo and I am wicked excited that I can listen to the radio evolution via webstream. Keep pumpin’ out the good licks! Iceland is listening.

    Dear WIDR,
Kalamazoo=WIDR, and when I’m not in Kalamazoo, the only thing that makes me feel at home is the Live Webstream. Please make it less crackly and static-y. If you don’t, I’ll be forced to move back to Kalamazoo to maintain my habit of WIDR listening. The Impact (student radio station at MSU) SUCKS x 1,000,000. I’m not kidding. Please help.
    Maggie

WIDR you are awesome and all I listen to… this morning there was a really cool song at like 9:15 am or so and I tried to look it up on your playlist, but to my luck there’s about an hour of unlisted music. Please reveal this secret!

Oh man I am so happy the webstream is back up!
I have to say my favorite show is at 2-4AM on friday nights, and I’d hate to sit in my car for those two hours, looking like a nutter while getting into that music.

Plus the gas wasted to keep the heat running, oh dear.
I love this radio station, and its been a long time since I’ve said that :>

Hey I am a former student that plays drums for a band in the Detroit area. I would love to submit some of our music for a chance to be heard by some K Zoo kids. Can you tell me the best way to make this happen. Can I e-mail MP3’s or whats the deal?

I’m really glad to see (and hear) that the reign of mediocrity that has been WIDR’s calling card for the previous several years is now over. I had honestly stopped listening and attending WIDR sponsored events because of the lackluster. The new regime has caught my attention again though. Thank you for bringing the freshness that is WIDR’s heritage back!

Thanks Angelo, We are all working very hard to improve things around here. And that includes everything from the music you hear to the events we put on. Come check us out in person on March 12th at the Old Dog Tavern as we unleash WIDR’s first ever cd on the world. Event starts at 7pm and is catered by Fourth Cost Cafe, live music by Son Drop.

Just a quick note: when you donate online, there is no way to comment on which programs you prefer or any comments for the radio station. I realize this is because the WMU Foundation is taking care of donations, but it would be nice to have a comments field in the donation process.

My comment: We love the Saturday morning cartoon show!!! Camp Candy was terrific! :) It’s great to expose our 6-year old to the cartoons of ‘our day’!

Love your stuff, widr. I wish my crappy car radio picked you up past kilgore road. Could someone tell me what was playing at 5:25 pm today, and the songs immediately before and after that just to be safe? My google-fu is not enough to figure out what it was.

    @IdleBystander
Just go to the playlist and click on “day before” until you get to that date and you can see it all. I did that for something I heard a couple weeks ago.

yo fuck widr because it’s like zombies run the station. i could have sworn that A DIVERSE GROUP OF MUSIC PURGED THE OF SEGRATED MUSIC.
TO SUM IT UP. IT WOULD BE FUCKING NICE TO HEAR SOME HIP/HOP & RAP 6 DAYS A WEEK LIKE THOSE OTHER LOOPY TRACKS THE STATION TENDS TO PLAY. DUDE YOUR RADIO STATION ISNT ON ITUNES, SEEING THAT WE HAVE SUCH A PRESTIGIOUS UNIVERSITY ONE WOULD THINK THAT IT SHOULD. OH AND BY CHANCE THAT YOU ARE ON ITUNES YOUR STATION WOULD FALL IN THE GENRE OF THE CLASSICAL MUSIC SECTION.
