With that being said, WIDR fm is a very low budget station, due to the fact that we play no commercials and we don’t pander to any corporation to get money. Instead, we turn to our listening community in hopes that they can help keep radio evolution alive and well.

Every year we have our annual WIDR Week, where we turn to our listeners and ask for a pledge of their suport. This enables us to keep things up to date, in terms of equipment and all of the magical components that make a radio station happen.

Think about all of the albums you purchase per year, and think about what it costs to listen to WIDR every day. Your support regardless of the size is very important and keeps this station alive .

Don’t forget that widr is a non-profit organization, so all donations can be written off.

Get Involved with WIDR.

We are always looking for people to help in a variety of ways. We are always in need of people to help with music reviewing, flyering, djing, newscasting, reporting, and being a part of the widr team.

If you are intersted in djing at widr fm, please email our program director at widr.program@gmail.com

If you are intersted in being a part of our promotional street team, please email our promotions director at widr.promotion@gmail.com

If you are intersted in volunteering at WIDR fm, please stop by the main office located at 1501 Faunce Student Services. If you need directions, call (269) 387-6301.

WIDR fm is a one of kind place where you will get to meet all kinds of new people and learn about all kinds of things while gaining experience and working at one of the few remaining non-commercial, independent radio stations in this country.
